Xero Names U.S. Accounting Head

Amy Vetter, XeroXero has named Amy Vetter as its first Head of Accounting in the United States. Vetter's position is one in which she is described as evangelist for accounting, practice management and supporting financial solutions. It is not one in which she is involved in the company's accounting department.

Vetter joined the New Zealand-based cloud software vendor in January 2014 as global VP education and enablement. She retains that role. In her new position the company's official statement was that "Amy will draw together customer and partner needs, innovation roadmap, product and message to market; all into a concise vision for accountants and their journey towards the modern practice."

Before coming to Xero, Vetter served as senior CPA programs leader at cloud software vendor Intacct from October 2011 through January 2014. She worked at Intuit where she was key accounts manager for the southeastern region from November 2009 through October 2011.
