Bill.com Adds Sales VP

Bill.com has hired Sheela Zemlin as SVP of sales and customer success. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, which makes invoicing products, said this week Zemlin has responsibility for all sales channels, including sales to small businesses and direct sales for mid-market businesses and accountants.

Zemlin was VP of global sales and business operations for Lithium Technologies in 2013 and 2014. Before that, she was a VP at Taleo from 2010 through 2013. That company was acquired by Oracle in 2012. She served as global VP of  corporate strategy for LexisNexis from 2003 through 2010. And she was senior business development manager, for QuickBooks Online at Intuit from 2001 through 2003.

In a prepared statement, Zemlin said, "The consumerization of business payments is not a fad−it's the future. Small and medium-sized businesses everywhere are automating their back office processes and transitioning to digital payments."

Bill.com has already had a busy 2015. Last month, it announced it had received a $50 million investment. The company says that will fuel hiring staff and growing its network.
