Zandbergen held the post with Wave from May 2011 through December. In the job with the cloud accounting software publisher, he was responsible for creating a network of accountants and bookkeepers as a way to secure new customers and support existing ones.

Zandbergen joined the former Accpac International in March 1997 and was with that company when it was purchased by Sage in 2004. In his final job with Sage, he was VP of product management from May 2007 through May 2011
