Grant Thornton has named Michael Patanella as leader of the firm's National Asset Management Sector. Patanella, who has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, has served clients such as hedge funds, private equity firms, clearing and introducing brokers, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.
Patanella authors articles for the firm's Asset ManagementAdviser and has written papers that have appeared in several hedge fund journals. Patanella also leads the firm's training about hedge fund issues and related accounting, reporting and regulatory updates.
He was a partner at Margolin, Winer & Evens from 1999 through 2002.
