CB&H Picks Poad for Indirect Taxes

William Poad, Cherry, Bekaert & HollandCherry, Bekaert & Holland has hired William Poad as director of indirect taxes within the firm's State and Local Tax Group. Poad is a specialist in multistate indirect taxation, helping clients with planning, compliance, structuring and protest proceedings, as well as being familiar with value-added tax  property valuation and excise tax issues.

He worked at PWC from November 2010 through May 2012 and from 1998 through 2004, he was at Deloitte. At both accounting firms, he was a director in the SALT practice. In between the positions with those firms, he was indirect tax manager for Alcoa from January 2005 through April 2010. At that company, Poad was responsible for its sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, employment tax, excise tax, unclaimed property, real and personal property tax for operations across North America.
