BKD Picks Watson to Run Dallas-Waco

Tom Watson, BKDTom Watson had been named as managing partner of BKD's Dallas-Waco practice. Watlson is the South Region industry leader for the BKD National Health Care Group and began his career at BKD as a staff intern in 1991 and then took a full-time position in the firm's Little Rock, Ark., office the following year.

Watson was named partner in 2001 and transferred to the Houston office in 2004. In 2010, he moved to the Dallas office to help grow the healthcare practice in that market. Watson succeeds managing partner Larry King, who is focusing on strategic and business development initiatives in the Dallas marke. King served as managing partner of the Dallas practice and its predecessor firm, KBA Group, for almost 30 years. Recently, King and Watson have been working to fold Waco-based Parrish, Moody & Fikes, into the Dallas-Waco practice. BKD acquired that firm on July 1, 2011.
