Thomson Reuters has introduced Checkpoint Edge, described as an artificial intelligence-based tax research platform. It will be commercially available next week.

Its debut follows the recent introduction of Westlaw Edge for the legal market.

The Edge products utilize natural language processing technologies that support plain English queries, and AI-powered algorithms. Edge can learn and improve search results as it is used. Edge draws on the Checkpoint database of current tax law and expert editorial analysis. Researchers can also research trusted public sites.
