Intuit is testing the limited sale of QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping. The offer of $400 per month,  available this month on QuickBooks.com, is twice the price of an earlier subscription price.

In a post on its Firm of the Future website, Intuit said this week the test “will  be visible only to a percentage of prospective customers visiting QuickBooks.com” and can be purchased only by a limited number of visitors. “As we near this limited number, we will reduce the percentage of visitors able to view the test,” the company wrote.

The new price compares to al test of $200 per month in March.

Intuit is hiring more QB Online certified ProAdvisors to provide bookkeeping services to Live customers. The current staff of 10 located in Boise, Idaho, will be expanded with the addition of 40 remote ProAdvisors “some of whom are tax experts who previously were part of our TurboTax Live team.’ Intuit described the QB Live program as designed to “fill gaps for small businesses and self-employed who aren’t currently connected to ProAdvisors and accounting professionals.".
