Intuit to Test QB Live Pricing Again

Intuit plans to new two-week test of pricing structures and models for its QuickBooks Live monthly bookkeeping service. The company said the test, which starts next week, will also test reactions to merchandising and messaging.

It had already tested pricing in February. Intuit began testing the service last month with the hiring of 10 accounting professionals in its Boise, Idaho, office. A blog post on Intuit’s Firm of the Future website says that while these individuals are working in the company’s office in Boise, “Our vision for QuickBooks Live is that ProAdvisors and bookkeepers will work remotely with Intuit and set their own hours to provide this service.” It intends to hire more professionals virtually and in its Reno, Nev., facility. The post said several small business indicated interest during the test on QuickBooks.com last month and they are “engaging with ProAdvisors over the next several months so that we can learn how the businesses use the service, the questions they ask, and where they need bookkeeping help.” The Reno staff will work with an onboarding test for QuickBooks Payroll “as we anticipate a number of payroll questions from those participating in the QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping test.”
