ADP Exec Pay Up Double Digits

Carlos Rodriguez, ADPExecutives for Automatic Data Processing received double-digit increases in compensation for the year ended. Filings with the SEC show CEO Carlos Rodriguez received $12.5 million for the year ended June 30, up 17.4 percent from the prior year.

It was certainly a challenging year for the leadership, which fought off a proxy challenge by activist investor Bill Ackman.

Rodriguez was rewarded for the year’s outcome with compensation up significantly in three major categories. Stock rewards totaled $5.5 million for fiscal 2018, a 22.6-percent increase from $3.4 million the year before. Option awards reached $3.3 million up 13.3 percent from $3 million, while non-equity incentive compensation rose by 13.3 percent to $2.4 million from $1.4 million.

 

Among other leaders, CFO Jan Siegmund had $4.2 million in pay for 2018, an increase of 9 percent from $3.9 million.   Dermot O’Brien, chief transformation officer. received slightly less that than $3 million, which was an increase of 34.4 percent from $2.2 million  Michael Bonarti, general counsel and secretary, had slightly less than $3 million in compensation a 30.3-percent rise from $2.3 million. O’Brien previously served as chief human resources officer for five years.

The only decline was for Edward Flynn, former president global enterprise solutions, who  retired on June 30 after 30yearsr with the payroll service provider.  His pay dropped to $3.6 million, off 205 percent from $4.5 million for fiscal 2017.
