AICPA Updates PFS Program

AICPAThe American Institute of CPAs has launched a new personal financial planning curriculum and what it calls a new pathway to the Personal Financial Specialist credential. The new program has five certificate covering different areas of personal financial planning

The AICPA will maintain the comprehensive PFS exam for CPAs who wish to take that route. Under the new program, CPAs who obtain all five certificates will have met requirements for the PFS credential.

Certificates are available in  Retirement, investment, risk management/insurance and estate planning. The fifth is the PFP Practical Applications Certificate Program.
