Blackbaud Hires Education, Healthcare Heads

Russ Cobb, BlackbaudNonprofit software vendor Blackbaud has hired presidents of two groups that address key vertical markets. The Charleston, S.C.-based company has picked Tim Hill, as president of its Higher Education Solutions group and, Russ Cobb, as president of its Healthcare Solutions group.

In a prepared statement, Blackbaud says its Enterprise Markets Group "will continue to serve the horizontal and vertical needs of customers while expanding its current services for greater interconnectivity within its healthcare and higher education markets."

Hill was president and co-founder of Channel Rocket, described as a sales enablement platform for the complex sale, from January 2014 until last month. He was with Blackboard from December 2004 through April 2013 and was president of global marketing for the educational technology company in the last 16 years there.

Cobb, who began his Blackbaud job in July, was VP of global alliances and channels for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions from 2007 through 2016.
