Xero and Intuit have both expanded the links between their accounting software packages and ecommerce vendors. Xero has integrated its system with Shopify, an online company based in Canada, while Intuit has established integration between QuickBooks Online and both Shopify and Big commerce, based in Australia.In both cases, integration enables sales and other data to move between the ecommerce sites and the accounting systems.
Xero's integration with Shopify is expected to become available this year. QuickBooks Online integration with both Shopify and Bigcommerce "will be available in the coming months," an Intuit spokesperson said. QuickBooks Payments integration with Shopify and Bigcommerce is already available to merchants.
