McGladrey is making a big time move into the mobile world with a decision to provide tablets to all 6,500 employees. The company this month said it worked with AT&T's Mobility Solutions Services to get the tablets up and running.
The firm also utilized services of the AT&T unit to train service desk personnel and set up a Mobile Device Management application. McGladrey said it took AT&T 12 days to stage and kits the tablets, which meant unwrapping the 6,500 devices, testing them, loading a set of business applications, repackaging and applying asset tags to each device. The announcement did not state the brands of any hardware being used or identify the business applications.
