Intuit Pointing Some QB Users to Intacct

Dan DrukerIntuit and Intacct are doing a promotion that is aimed at growing QuickBooks users. The marketing piece is designed to push QuickBooks users who are outgrowing the Intuit product to look at Intacct's Best Practices Financial Management Kit. An Intuit spokesperson said the program is an experiment to determine the needs of such users.
Intuit's messiage is that some larger customers have informed Intuit that "they now require more advanced functionality as they have grown." Intuit had little comment beyond that, but Intacct was more talkative about the impact of the offer. "It's already been clear that Intacct is a great fit for QuickBooks graduates. Sixty percent of our new mid-market customers are already coming from organizations that were stretching beyond the capabilities of QuickBooks," says Dan Druker, Intacct's vice president of marketing. " From the customer's perspective, cloud computing and Intacct coupled with the expertise of our channel partners greatly reduce the cost and risk of graduating from QuickBooks to mid-market financial applications as compared to graduating to on-premises mid-market software."
