AICPA/CIMA Roll Out Career Launchpad

Career Launchpad, which provides insights and guidance for beginning a career in Indiana, has been launched by the AICPA and CIMA. The program requires a free student membership with the AICPA and CIMA.

Led by the avatar Andi, students complete six modules that take them on a journey in accounting and finance. The last module, offered in partnership with Interflexion, enables them to participate in simulated interviews for which they receive real-time feedback.

Modules 1 through 5 are free. Module 6, the advanced interview program, is available for $19.95.

Centered on career exploration, modules 1 and 2 while skill development is a theme of modules 3 through 5.

The Modules offer the following:                                                                                                                                                                                                           Module 1: Advice, stories and behind-the-scenes tips for landing first jobs from accountants in various industries. These range from forensic accounting at the FBI to becoming a partner in Audit or building a career in tech.                                                                                                                                                                    Module 2: Current accounting and finance professionals offer advice aout salaries, benefits, work/life balance, and for choosing a first employer.                           Module 3: Practice defining skills to start building resumes/CVs and LinkedIn profiles through Case Studies.                                                                                 Module 4: Use templates and professional advice to enhance resume/CV, write a cover letter, and build LinkedIn profiles.                                                             Module 5: Tips from a Vice President on how perform well in interviews, along with practice case studies.
