Thomson Releases Mobile CS for Android

thomson reutersThomson Reuters has released an Android-compatible version of Mobile CS, an application that enables users of  mobile devices to access its Practice CS database. Mobile CS supports devices running Android 2.1 or higher as well as iPhones, iPads and the iPod. Among capabilities provided is the ability to enter time and expenses remotely with entries flowing automatically into Practice CS.

Mobile CS can also track mileage in realtime via a device's GPS and it can use mileage calculated as the route distance between two addresses and feed that into Practice CS. Photos of receipts can be linked to expense entries and the application can time outgoing phone calls and then utilize the dialed client to create a time entry.

The mobile app provides access to client data, staff availability, project status, and key firm data including WIP and AR. The company says future Mobile CS releases will support other functions and data in the CS Professional Suite.

A trial version is available in the Android Market and Apple App Store. Users can utilize the sample data that comes with Mobile CS. To sync Practice CS data to Mobile CS requires a paid license.

Price: Free download (trial version).  Thomson Reuters: CS.ThomsonReuters.com/MobileCS.
