QBO Adds eCommerce Links

Intuit has added integration between QuickBooks Online and such online sales platforms as Amazon, Shopify and eBay. The company said users can connect to e-commerce platforms and marketplaces “with a fast and easy setup.”

The integration means transactions automatically appear in client books. Intuit said this month the upgrade comes with new QBO subscriptions and will be available to existing customers over the next several weeks.

Also new this month are contractor payments, which can handle tasks such as next-day direct deposits and 1099 filings.

Intuit said users can invite contractors to set up free accounts so they can complete W-9 and provide bank deposit payments with the ability to make unlimited payments with next-day direct deposits. Payments, which automatically syncs with QBO, is available for $15 per month for up to 20 contractors. ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing discounts will be announced soon.

In addition, QBO now offers the ability to add tips when clients pay invoices. The software includes an additional field to record tips of 5 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent or a custom-dollar amount on sales receipts.
