Peachtree Gets Sales Tax Connector
Avalara has filled in a missing link in its list of connectors to accounting packages with the addition of a connector for Sage’s Peachtree line. The connector, which is beta testa, enables Peachtree users to utilize the functionality of the company's AvaTax sales and use tax software. The connector is expected to be available in 30 to 45 days.
Avalara sales VP Marshal Kushniruk said it took this long to get a Peachtree entry because it was a matter of finding the right development partner to write it. Avalara typically uses third parties to provide the links between its engine and accounting software products, both small-market packages both Peachtree and Intuit, and mid-market offerings such as Microsoft's Dynamics line and Sage's products such as Accpac and MAS 90/200
