Paychex has introduced software tools  that include COVID-19 leave tracking and screening and health attestation support. The new products are available in Paychex Flex, the company’s cloud-based HR technology platform.

Companies of all kinds, including CPA firms, software vendors and banks, are fielding loan forgiveness tools for the Paycheck Protection Program. The tools include calculators for loan forgiveness and platforms for providing information to borrowers.


IRS Guides on Retirement Distributions

The Internal Revenue Service has issued guidance for retirement plans participants, affected by the COVID-19 virus, who take distributions or loans from those funds. Under the CARES Act, distributions this year are not subject to an additional 10 percent tax for early withdrawals.
