Intuit has added a quick input screen to ProLine Tax Online, the Internet-based tax preparation product now going through its first tax season. The company said the screen enables preparers to profile clients by answering simple questions. The system then brings up only forms common to clients with that profile.

The product now also supports individual returns for Arkansas, Mississippi and Utah, in addition to the 22 that were available when the program launched. Intuit estimates the states covered have more than 70 percent of the population of the United States.

States support since the product's launch are Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
