Thomson Reuters has acquired San Francisco-based Emochila, which designs websites for tax and accounting firms. Terms were not disclosed. Thomson said that Emochila's technology and expertise would be used to enhance its web services products, particuarly Web Builder CS and would be integrated into the CS Professional Suite.

The Emochila team will continue to operate from the San Francisco office. Emochila, which was founded in 2003, offers website design, site content, client retention tools, marketing tools, and web and email hosting. CEO Chad Brubaker and COO Justin Curzi will remain to work on the transition.
