We have established a tradition of hosting a dinner sometime during CES It seems to be the one time of the year that most (or at least many) of the Dream Team are, 1) All in the same place, and, 2) Relatively available. We all seem to see each other periodically throughout the year but most often we’ve schedule slammed and rushing to another class, meeting, or airport. And it’s usually only two or three of us. CES is the exception -- so the Annual Author Appreciation Dinner was born. This year was the 4th Annual and there were eight of us at Sensi in the Bellagio and we had an absolutely grand time! The stories were wonderful (it’s amazing how they got better as the hour grew later!) and the camaraderie was even better. Who’d have thought that “network neutrality” could lead to such an intense conversation. Not to mention Citrix, payroll, and the future of trade shows. A great time was had by all. Several of us headed over to the Mirage for PepComm’s Digital Experience following dinner, but there’s a rumor that the conversation at the Bellagio lasted, and lasted, and lasted, and lasted... These guys truly are the “best and the brightest” and I’m honored and humbled to be able to work with them and, more importantly, to call them friends.
