Porte Brown, a CPA firm based in Elk Grove Village, Ill., has Meador Stratton, LLP, based in Highland, Ind., the third acquisition by Porte Brown in 2011 and its first in Indiana. Porte Brown says it now employs more than 75 pepole and has doubled its size over the last five years through the acquisition of seven accounting firms. Meador Stratton partners, Ralph Meador, CPA, and Louis Stratton, and other Meador Stratton employees, joined the Porte Brown team this month. Porte Brown serves clients in the fields of manufacturing and distribution, construction, not-for-profit, professional services, individuals and grocery and food services.
