Walker, who will be based in San Francisco, said, the role of his new position is "to manage existing efforts and create new programs to engage accounting professionals with Intuit on a worldwide basis." Intuit derives the overwhelming among of its revenue from the United States. In the last three years, it has expanded operations to India with the introduction of a personal banking application. It has been moving its QuickBooks accounting package into other English-speaking countries and has been testing QuickBooks Online as it formulates a retail program in the U.K. The company has also discussed the possibility of moving into the Chinese market via mobile applications.
