Infor, a company with a broad portfolio or financial software packages, has hired Taylor Macdonald as VP worldwide channels. The company said this was part of a new strategy for its channel program and follows a more aggressive advertising campaign on the part of Infor, a privately held company with sales estimated at about $2.8 billion. Macdonald was a long-time channel VP at Sage until he and three other top exeuctives were ousted in the fall of 2007. He spent much of 2008 as a VP developing a channel for Herndon, Va.-based Deltek. He joined Promthean, a company that markets educational software, earlier this year.
