RIVERWOODS , Ill. - CCH has continued to spin out more enhancements to its new IntelliConnect tax research platform, announcing the second round of changes since January 1 and the third set after launching the product last year. This edition included improved speed and performance and changes to information filtering. The company did not quantity the speed and performance enhancements. Other changes were the ability to apply multiple filters to a single search; the ability to quickly collapse the browse tree and the availability of shortcuts to adjoining documents.

Cross-filtering, the application of multiple filters simultaneously means that users can apply all available filters. An example provided by CCH said a search could be narrowed simultaneously selecting a specific document type, a tax type, a menu level on a library and a specific jurisdiction.

A Collapse All function enables those who utilize browsing as a research strategy to collapse all open topically-arranged menu levels in order to restart research from a different beginning point or enter a new search. Using the “Nearby Documents” function researchers can view the next and previous documents in the publication without leaving the search results list.
