SPbinder, an electronic binder application from SurePrep, can be used to prepare, review and share a paperless set of workpapers for any engagement type. It expands SurePrep's binder technology to documents other than tax returns for the first time and enables firms to create binder templates for each type of engagement.

Templates include customized, multi-tiered indexes that standardize the organization of workpapers and can also contain PDF, Microsoft Excel and Word files. Additionally, emails can be dragged from Outlook and dropped into SPbinder for inclusion in workpapers. Excel, Word and Email files can be annotated and cross referenced to document images. Excel and Word files integrated in the application are fully functional and can be edited without having to reprint them to PDF or manage them as separate files.

The application can also index all file types at the workpaper level so that users can index each worksheet in an Excel workbook separately which allows a single spreadsheet to be indexed in all appropriate workpaper sections.
