aicpa logoThe American Institute of CPAs has added Interactive Tax Checklists to its Tax Practice Guides and Checklists. The new checklists enable a firm's staff members to work online collaboratively within the same document. Checklists can be accessed on the web via a secure login. Interactive checklists are available for 2011 for Forms 1040 and 1120. More forms will be added in the next release. The new checklists are available for sale through www.cpa2biz.com, but are free to AICPA Tax Section members.

Features include questionnaires built around the AICPA's Tax Practice Guides and Checklists and dashboards that show which items are still open and steps that remain for closing out a client's return. Data is encrypted and PDF versions of documents are available for offline use and archiving.
