I have been a TaxWorks user for about 8 years. Loved the program, loved the support. I emailed them yesterday....after countless days of issues, to ask about getting my money back. I hate to leave, but why on earth would a software company attempt to do such a massive overhauling of a program in 1 year if they could not deliver? Some of my issues were that: Spouses & address don't show in the directory- I expect them to fix that. We used to be able to customize our client selection screen - no longer appears to be that way-it's very simple with fixed columns -no status column but a nice big CLIENT ID column - I havent used client id's for more than a decade!!! I loved the client status column that we always had and that I could make customized 'statuses', but that appears to be gone. Now just that big fat Client ID column that is virtually useless to me. In the delivery system where you would choose to print/send etc a return, there was no 'Client Copy'. There was a government copy, preparer copy, custom copy, all that you can customize which forms to print for your practice. I asked tech support (once when I actually was able to get through) why there was no Client Copy and he said 'oh, you can make that' Question: who do we prepare returns for??? What does Cir 230 require us to provide? Why did I pay them nearly 2K to have to add such things to the program as basic as a Client Copy? This only the tip of the iceberg. Can you tell I'm livid?
