Providing QuickBooks to IRS

Unfortunately, most of my clients are still entering data for the prior year while they enter the current year data. Yes, you can condense previous years data, but there is no way that I know of to get rid of the current year data to provide the IRS with only the year they are requesting. Even having a competent bookkeeper will not prevent those last minute entries for last year from occurring in the first part of this year.
