IRS Seeks IRSAC Members 

Internal Revenue Service is seeking applications for membership for the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council. The council serves as an advisory body to the commissioner of Internal Revenue.

The council also serves as a public for discussion of tax administration issues.

Applications will be accepted through June 10 for approximately 14 members whose  three-year terms start in January. Members are drawn from diverse backgrounds and the council is seeking applicants from several areas of experience and knowledge: Large Business and International; Tax Exempt and Government Entities; Wage and Investment. Applications should document qualifications.

Applicants must be in good standing regarding their own tax obligations and demonstrate high professional and ethical standards. All applicants submit an application, a tax check waiver form and a resume. For those applicants deemed “Best Qualified,” FBI fingerprint checks will also be required.
