Four key executives and managers at Liberty Tax are out the door. The company issued a statement to employees that the reason for the changes was its goal “Happy Successful Franchisees and employees”.
Among those canned was Vanessa Szajnoga, VP of legal, who has been the spokesperson for the tax services business during its period of turmoil. Also terminated was Oscar Aujero, VP of operations, Bob Sage, regional stores director and Robert Artese, VP and CIO.
Steve Peters, VIP of technology, is taking over Artese’s duties.
Szajnoga joined Liberty in 2005 and became general counsel in December 2015. Aujero became a regional director in December 2001 and assistant VP of operations in October. Artese arrived in January 2013. Sage joined in December 2013 and took over as national director of operations for company stores in October.
