Greatland Readies W-2 and 1099 Internet Filing

SpeedeGreatland is launching a SpeedEfiler.com, a Web site that is designed for W-2 and 1099 filing and form fulfillment. The site will enable users to file all W-2s and 1099s forms with federal agencies and have copies printed and mailed directly to recipients. The Web site for the Greatland program, www.speedefiler.com, says the service is expected to be available in December.

The system provides two data-entry options: A Data Import Tool on the site enables users to import data from W-2 and 1099 forms from their office applications. After import, data can be be dragged and dropped into fields. Data can also be entered manually.

The following forms will be capable of being filed: W-2, W-2C, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-R,
1099-S, 941, 944 and 941 Schedule B. The services from which users can choose are Federal E-file and Recipient Print + Mail Fulfillment, E-file only, or Recipient Print + Mail only. After filings are submitted and have been paid for, customers can see payer and state and local copies. The vendor posts a PDF of the payer copy for user files, which can be mailed to state and local government agencies as required. Greatland provides an email confirmation after forms have been successfully submitted.

Prices start at $4.95 per filing for Federal E-file and Recipient Print + Mail Fulfillment; 95 cents for e-file only; and and $4.35 for Recipient Print + Mail only. Those rates apply for one to 10 filings. The price per filing drops as volume increases in seven pricing tiers.
