Greatland Drops Tax Prep Software
Greatland, which is known for its tax forms products, has dropped its GreatTax tax preparaton software line. The company's website announces that the program will not be offered for tax year 2012 and recommends the Drake Software line to its customers.
Great Tax was introduced early in the last decade when the company hoped to take advantage of its wide customer base for tax forms and also for electronic filing in an era in which many software companies did not handle that service themselves. Greatland continues to provide support to GreatTax customers. Greatland also markets 1099 and W-2 reporting software
