It has been clear for sometime the company was evaluating a successor. In May 2016, Goodarzi and Dan Wernikoff switched jobs with Goodarzi moving into the small business job and Wernikoff taking on Goodarzi’s previous role as EVP and GM in TurboTax. Intuit’s Smith Handing CEO Job to Goodarzi
Brad Smith who has held the job of CEO of Intuit since January 2008, will retire at the end of the year. He will be replaced on January 1 by Sasan Goodarzi, EVP and GM of Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group.
