From August 2013 to February 2016, Gramlich was president of AccountantsWorld. He was with CCH from June 2003 through February 2013 and was president of CCH Small Firm Services from 2006 through February 2013.

He worked for the former Computer Language Research from May 1988 through January 2000 and when the company was purchased by Thomson he worked there from January 2000 through January 2003. At Thomson, he was EVP of product development and a member of the executive committee at Practitioners Publishing Co.
