Small Biz VP Retiring from Intuit

Dan Maurer, IntuitDan Maurer, SVP of Small Business Management Solutions, is retiring from Intuit after nearly nine years in executive roles. He will begin a transitional non-executive role tomorrow which will last through his retirement on August 26.

Before a major reorganization announced in May 2013, Maurer served as SVP and general manager of Intuit's consumer group for five years. The job change in 2013 required him to move from San Diego, Calif., to Intuit headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. His compensation for the year ended July 31, 2013 was just under $4 million.

Maurer joined Intuit in January 2006 as chief marketing officer and served in that position through December 2008. He worked previously with Proctor & Gamble from 1976 through 2000.
