CCH Small Firm Services Opens SFS University

CCH Small Firm Services LogoKENNESAW, Ga. – CCH Small Firm Services has introduced the online SFS University, which is designed to provide training and continuing professional education credits to tax and accounting professionals. That program follows the launch of the CCH Learning & Development Academy by its parent organization last fall.

The educational offerings come as the Internal Revenue Service has been proposed steps to regulate professional tax preparers. However, its CPE requirements would exempt CPAs, Enrolled Agents and attorneys, who already are required to take professional courses.

SFS University courses incorporate multimedia presentations and are based on technology that the SFS TaxWise and ATX customers already use to complete training and CPE requirements. Located at http://training.cchsfs.com, the site offers courses in tax preparation and ethics. It also meets course requirements of the California Tax and Education Council.

The CCH academy opened with a School of Audit and planned to follow with a School of Tax this year. Its courses are taught in classrooms in major cities, as well as on-site at firms in two- to four-day sessions.
