SpeedTax Gets New Venture Funding Round
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. – SpeedTax, which provides Internet-based sales-and-use-tax applications, has received a new round of equity funding from Committed Capital, a private equity firm. SpeedTax said this represented the largest equity investment the company has secured. However, it has not revealed amounts of any funding rounds.
SpeedTax CEO Anton Donde issued a statement that funds will be used as the company links with more e-commerce platforms and ERP packages, along with providing services in the areas of consumer use taxes and reverse audits. The company also plans to continue moving its products into the enterprise-level market. Donde said the company is continuing to add staff in key areas.
