Blackbaud Outlines Its Own Giving

social responsibilityBlackbaud donated 2.6 percent of pre-tax profit through grants, cash, volunteering, and thought leadership, the company said recently. The nonprofit software company provided that information in its first-ever Blackbaud Social Responsibility Report, which provides an overview of the company’s global social responsibility, governance and ethical practices.

 

Charleston, S.C-based Blackbaud said it made the largest donation in its history in 2017—a $1 million gift to the International African American Museum.

Among honors for its efforts in this area,  Blackbaud noted it has been named one of Forbes’ “Best Employers for Diversity” and “Best Employers for Women". Blackbaud was also selected as one of AnitaB.org’s “Top Companies for Women Technologists.” The company said 84 percent of employees volunteered time for activities such as clean-up projects in their communities to STEM tutoring,
