GoDaddy Buys Invoicing Company

GoDaddyWeb platform company GoDaddy has acquired Ronin, which marketed online invoicing applications. The acquisition was completed in April, but was not announced until this month. Since then, Ronin has been integrated into GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping. Terms were not disclosed.

The Ronin functionality is integrated with the features GoDaddy picked up last year with the purchase of Outright.com, which helped small businesses track their income, expenses and taxes.

Online Bookkeeping, priced at $9.95 per month, features sales and expense tracking and imports and organizes them into IRS categories. It provides an Annual Income and Expense Summary and pre-populates a Schedule C worksheet.

Users can also photograph receipts and attach them to transactions. The system automatically calculates estimated tax and tracks sales tax that has been collected.

The Ronin deal is the fifth buy by GoDaddy in 15 months. The other three acquired companies were M.dot, Locu and Afternic.
