The selection of VAR Stars for 2012 has been announced by Bob Scott, editor of Bob Scott's Insights, a sister publication to The Progressive Accountant. The names of the 100 business chosen for this annual honor were published this month and can be found at www.bobscottsinsights.com.
VAR Stars are drawn from businesses that sell mid-market accounting software packages such as Microsoft's Dynamics products and Sage 100, 300 and 500. Quality, not revenue, is the deciding factor in picking the 100 businesses that are selected for this honor. Factors utilized in making the selection include awards from software vendors, growth, innovation and reputation and participation in industry activities.
VARs from very small shops to the largest participants in the business have been selected in past years' and in this year's rendition.
