SEC Restores Mitchell & Titus Partner

Michael G. HorseyThe SEC has restored the right of Michael G. Horsey, a partner with Mitchell & Titus, to practice before it as accountant. Horsey was barred from such practice on Nov. 12, 2002.

Horsey, who currently serves as market leader for the firm's Private Client Services, was engagement partner for the firm's audits of MERL Holdings for the years ended Dec. 31,1997 and Dec. 31, 1998 and drew the disciplinary action for his role withn those. The SEC found that Horsey has met all of the conditions in his suspension order.

However, the SEC noted Horsey is subject to probation under the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy that is scheduled to end in January 2013. Horsey must adhere to the terms of that probation to maintain his ability to practice before the SEC.
