Scott Wins K2 Quality Award

Bob ScottBob Scott, editor of The Progressive Accountant and Bob Scott's Insights, has received an award for accounting industry press coverage from K2 Enterprises. K2 honored Scott's work as part of the group's 2011 selection of its 10th Annual Quality Awards.

Scott has covered the tax and accounting profession for 20 years and was editor of the former Accounting Technology magazine for 12 years and previously was technology editor at Accounting Today.

Among other award recipients were Thomson Reuters with its Accounting CS as the winner for new module; New Zealand's Xero for new SaaS product and AccountantsWorld for marketing communications.

Other quality awards were given to CCH for its ProSystem fx Tax in the tax category, XCM Solutions for workflow and "SaaS Top Shelf", Office Tools Profession for small CPA firm solution, Freshbooks for ease of use, and Intuit's QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions for small business solution. ShareFile was given a quality award for its portal and Sage Peachtree for overall quality.

K2 is known for its technology courses for continuing professional education in the United States and Canada. The firm has provided seminars in 42 states this year and made more than 1,000 presentations.
