QB Online LogoIntuit and Google are collaborating on applications that integrate the G Suite—formerly called Google Apps for Work—with QuickBooks Online. The first releases for QBO include Google Calendar and Single Sign On, available through the G Suite Marketplace.

The first integration enables small businesses to schedule client work and appointments with Google Calendar, with billable appointments available in QuickBooks for invoicing customers and managing finances.

Single Sign On provides businesses with the ability to sign up for QBO through the G Suite Marketplace. Users can manage QuickBooks information from their Google accounts. Also with the sign on, QBO users' information is pre-populated from their Google Accounts.

In a prepared statement, Vinay Pai, head of the Intuit Developer Group, said, "Our data indicates that 56 percent of QuickBooks customers are using Google Calendar to book appointments, schedule meetings and track client work."

Google Calendar for QuickBooks is now available in a public beta test in the United States. It is in private beta in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. More information is available at the QuickBooks Small Business App Store.
