I'm a HUGE fan of Google Apps. The standard edition is all you really need if you're technically adept (or have access to someone who is), but if you get frustrated with computers get the premier edition. $50 a year is a small price to pay for support. I used to describe it as "Outlook Lite", but that's not really fair any more. If you know how to use it, it can pretty much replace outlook completely, AND throw in a bunch of functionality that outlook could never dream of without all the networking headaches that outlook can create.
