Sure there is a simple answer to the IT option. As simple as going to Hosted Solutions Inc and have them host your entire network infrastructure in a secure data center and keep it live and running no matter what happen in your office... fire, theft, power outage, water outage, ice storm etc. But as Barry pointed out very well, when something happens how do you communicate to your employees? Clients? Vendors? Etc. I my personal opinion it is less about having a specific plan in place and more about having a clear chain of command and communication model should something happen. Then make sure those folks in charge have thought through how they can respond to short term, long term and physical disasters. Well said Barry!
