I found this article while waiting on TaxWorks support. The one good this is that support has new music. If someone is interested in the types of problems we're having, here's part of my list: Over half the time when one opens a client up TW creates a second copy of the client Updates can't be load, something about RGUpdater not working Organizers won't print, Adobe says there's an error and the document can't be found. Then the software closes. Supposedly client lists will not sort alphabetically by last name (how hard can that be) but it only works sort of, with names on my computer sorting B, B, B, B, A, B, B, A, A, B, A, A, B, B, A, A . . . you get the idea. The above doesn't even consider the fact the settings from last year won't transfer over, slip sheets aren't available, help screen don't exist, I could go on and on. I attended one of TW power seminars this fall and the demo package used wasn't even the first release version of the software. The unofficial theme of the seminar was "We're Working On It" which was the phrase used over and over at the seminar. At the beginning of the seminar people applauded the changes, it was almost like an Amway convention. By the end no one was applauding. I appreciate the reader who has 1200 clients and only 50 use the organizers. If that was my case I'd skip the organizers altogether. However, most of my clients use the organizers in some manner or another so I'd don't have the ability to say it's not a big deal. I received an e-mail from Lacerte saying they'd welcome me back--if I could get a TW refund I'd be there.
