Wow....you have crystalized exactly what I have been witnessing this year. My appliance repair company showed up in June to check and repair our dryer. At the end of the diagnosis, I asked how I could pay. The repairman said it didn't matter as long as it was check, debit, or credit. He brought out his tablet, wrote up the order, emailed me an estimate for the part that needed replacing, and accepted my payment. I was stunned. Not one piece of paper involved in the transaction and not what I expected to see that day. I can't wait until I need my plumber again to see what he has adopted for the latest technology! G Taylor
